Written by NGCYM | March 20, 2016 |
In Cleveland, Ohio, New Generation Christian Youth Movement (NGCYM) was successfully completed. It was host by Samdan Church, whose Senior pastor is Ps. Karna Tirwa. More than thirty Nepali Christian youth were gathered across the United States to attend the First meeting of NGCYM. After Ps. Obed Mothey did the first prayer, we continued our meeting with powerful worship, which was lead by Brother Kumar Darnal. He helped us to draw ourselves close to the Lord through the powerful worship. Right after the worship, Senior pastor of Samdan Church, Ps. Karna Tirwa shared short word of God between us. He encouraged us to keep moving forward with same mission and vision no matter how tough the road will be in the future.

Without any further due, we started to discuss about our meeting agenda after the message of Ps. Karna Tirwa. Since it was our first meeting, we hadn't decided our vision and mission, so first of all, we talked about our mission and vision. With an agreement of all youth, we decided to make a mission is to learn, be practical, grow stronger in spirituality, and to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in a way that will inspire the youth from generation to generation and our vision is to encourage every individual Christian youth to live a Christ-centered life. After that, we named our group as "New Generation Christian Youth Movement" with a thought of encouraging all the new generation christian youth across the USA and as well as other countries. Thirdly, we talked about the objectives of our group. To sum up the all the objectives, it was all about helping Nepali Christian youth to live christ-centered life by organizing seminars and through medias. We took a while to make our objectives because we wanted to make sure that they are very effective for youth since this ministry is going to focus in youth group. After that, we talked about making a committee Board. Since this vision was given to Brother Rakesh Tirwa and he informed all the youth across the United States to join this group and work for youth, we all decided to make him as our president. For vice-president, we chose brother Kumar Darnal from Atlanta, GA. After that, we chose brother Joel Tamu and Brother Joseph Mothey for our secretary, and we chose brother Immanuel and Padam Rimal for Treasurer. After that, we chose Brother Simson Mizar and Sanjeet Tirwa for our event coordinator, Brother David Lumjel for Prayer coordinator, and Brother Biren Rai for media coordinator. For advising team, we decided to keep Ps. Santosh Tirwa, Brother Madan Tirwa, Ps. Rohit Sinchury, and Ps. G.S. Tamang. All of the board members were chosen by the agreement of all the attendants that were present in the meeting. Lastly, we finished the meeting by the closing prayer, which was done by Ps. Santosh Tirwa.
